The Countdown is On!

The Little Black Book Project Reception and Silent Auction is set for Thursday, March 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Crush Area of Riddell Centre.

This is the final chapter for the project so a big thank you goes out to all those who have participated over the last three years, to the Faculty of Fine Arts and to Jan Bell, Faculty Administrator for their unwavering support of the project!
Most of the re-invented books are available for bids and this year we're keeping things interesting by adding a 'buy it now' option.

Please join us for a fun-filled afternoon of literary abandon!

Are You Ready??

It's getting very, very close!  There are two short weeks left to finish those black books.  If you haven't started, don't worry, you got this.  And in the spirit of confession I haven't started either.  But I plan to work on my book all weekend and I'm pretty sure I can pull it off in plenty of time.
We have our first two submissions and both are amazing interpretations of what began as a blank book. Be sure to mark March 21st in your calendars.  Our reception and show will be held in the Riddell Centre crush area right outside the University Theatre.  Remember there's a tablet on the line so get those books done and get in on it!

Momentum

It's that time.  We're in the middle of the Little Black Book Project and if you haven't started your book yet (like me) you may be thinking you'll never get it done in time.  Not to worry.  Remember, part of the beauty of this project is that there are no boundaries.  Don't have time to fill out all the pages?  Rip them out or just do the cover and present it as a journal.  It doesn't have to look like a book when it's finished.  So run over it with your car or tear it to pieces and present it in a jar.  There are all kinds of ways to do a book quickly and still make a great presentation.
The books are due back in the Art Store on February 28th and remember everyone who returns a book will be entered to win a tablet!  Questions?  Come and see me! Good luck and happy alteration!
