Okay all you black bookers. (And by that I mean Ashley because I'm pretty sure she's the only one checking this blog. ) It's time to get serious about finishing your books. February is fast approaching and before you know it the books will be on display for the campus to see. To help get you going again come and hang out at The Black Book Coffee Lounge February 8th to 10th and 15th to 17th from 9:00 to 3:00 outside the Art Store. Bring your coffee or lunch anytime during the day and work on your book. Miscellaneous art supplies and treats will be provided.
The books are starting to come back and they look amazing!!! I can't wait to see what the rest look like. See you soon.!

...and it's a burden
I have a small confession. I haven't started my book yet. If your plans to work on "the book" over the holiday kind of fell apart, I'm here to tell you that you're not alone.
Semester opening is about to erupt and I doubt very much that I'll have time for the next three weeks or so to fill so much as a page. Good thing I work well under pressure. Besides, having a deadline looming will help the winter to go that much faster. (See how a little rationalization can go a long way?)
I've talked to a few people who's books are well under way and I am anticipating an awesome array of alteration when the books come back at the end of February.
Keep going. It's going to be awesome!
